Experience and empathy will once again be the added value to bring ShedirPharma Sorrento ever higher. Also this season Vincenzo Mosca will be part of the green-and-white staff, playing the delicate role of team manager!
That of the team manager is a fundamental role, and often lived behind the scenes. What are your main tasks, from the bureaucratic aspects up to the preparation and care of each official match?
“First of all, I try to always be available to everyone: both for the club and for the members of the first team. On the one hand, I try to make the president’s job as easy as possible, freeing him above all from the bureaucratic commitments relating to admission to the Lega Serie A and the preparation of the home matches. On the other hand, I do my best to satisfy all the daily needs of the first team technicians and athletes, ensuring that their stay in Sorrento remains a pleasant memory and professionally suited to their expectations”.
The 2 groups of Serie A3 go down to 13 teams, with almost all probably fighting for the play-off or play-out area until the last day. What kind of championship do you expect?
“It’s still not official: the playoff formula should be the same as last year, while that of the playouts automatically means that even the lower-ranked teams will equip themselves to sell their skins dearly. I expect an even more balanced championship than last year, where everyone can win and lose against anyone. The respect for the opponent and the humility with which each match will be faced will make the difference”.
Some important rules are also changing in the League: from the new sports reform in force since 1 July, up to the introduction of giant screens and LEDs for official matches. Is this, in your opinion, an obstacle or an opportunity for further growth for companies?
“It is inevitable that the reform of sport, within 12/18 months, will have a significant impact on clubs in terms of increased costs. While on the one hand I believe a radical change is due in a sector that has never had any protection from the point of view of contributions, on the other I believe that not all sports associations are able to bear such an important increase in costs.
