It’s six against six time for Massimo Eccheli’s Vero Volley Monza, who in the fourth week of preparation tests his condition with joint training, the first of the 2023-24 sporting year. Tomorrow, Friday 15 September, at 4.00 pm (warm-up starts, entrance open to the public from 4.30 pm), the people from Monza will go down to the Monza Arena, with the Serie A2 team of Pool Libertas Cantù, for a test match useful for oiling the mechanisms , albeit with reduced ranks given the absence of Gianluca Galassi, Fernando Kreling, Eric Loeppky, Stephen Maar, Luka Marttila, Arthur Szwarc and Ran Takahashi, involved with their respective national teams.

The blue coach, therefore, will be able to count on Thomas Beretta, Petar Visic, Gabriele Di Martino, Ibrahim Lawani, Francesco Comparoni, Marco Gaggini and Flavio Morazzini. Alongside the first team, also the under 19s Gabriele Mariani, Gabriele Pertoldi and Umberto Caporossi.

Coach Eccheli took care of presenting the match directly: “We have entered the fourth week of work. Everything is proceeding according to our expectations and plans.

The focus, at the moment, is on athletic conditioning and, considering the composition of the group, we are working a lot on individual analytical technical concepts, leaving aside the gaming part for a moment. Tomorrow, we will have the first test match against Cantù: it will be an opportunity to leave a little more space for this aspect that we have deliberately left out a little.

We will go and see situations that we have trained and we will also make sure that the boys have some fun, given that this phase has been very tough. We are happy because everything went as we thought, even in the difficulties related to the composition of the roster, but we are very happy with the application and intensity of the boys, even the youngest. They are all proving to be very attentive and very focused.”
