The 2022-23 season has officially ended for Vero Volley Monza which, icing on the cake, thanks to the recent victory over Sir Safety Perugia in the Play Off 5th place final, has rightfully won a place in the European cups with the opportunity to play next season the CEV Challenge Cup.
In team statistics – if we calculate the Regular Season, Play Off Scudetto and Play Off 5th place – Captain Beretta’s team in batting ends in fourth place with 214 aces; Piacenza is in the lead with 254, but considering the average it rises to second place with 1.77 behind Perugia 1.9. Vero Volley closes sixth on blocks with 275 points, a ranking dominated by the Italian champions of Trento with 355, but if you always calculate the average set, Monza is third with 2.27 blocks per set behind Perugia (2.6) and Trent (2.37). Seventh position in attack with 48.6% of positivity (Perugia is always in the lead with 54%) while it is twelfth for positivity in reception with 20.4% and Modena in the lead with 25.3%.
Turning instead to the statistics of the singles, Stephen Maar is the Top Scorer of Vero Volley with 484 points while Matey Kaziyski (Trento) is in the lead with 637. If we calculate the average points per set, Maar closes with 4, 08 and in the lead is Ibrahim Lawani (Taranto) with 5.74.
In batting Vlad Davyskiba is third with 60 aces, behind the 64 of Kaziyski (Trento) and Noumory Keita (Verona) with 63; the Belarusian remains third in the ace per set average with 0.52 behind the two players from Sir Safety Perugia, Wilfredo Leon and Jesus Herrera with 0.59.
Blocking Gianluca Galassi is sixth with 60 points, leader Robertlandy Simon (Piacenza) with 97 while in the average set Thomas Beretta is twelfth with 0.52 blocks per set, Simon always in the lead with 0.75.
