Two games less to the end of the regular season and Emma Villas Aubay Siena will try to reach the goal of salvation in the Superlega championship in the remaining matches against Verona at the PalaEstra (Sunday 5 March) and away in Monza (12 March).
Two races that are really two finals, in the hope and with the aim of hitting the points necessary for staying in the top national championship. Against Lube there was nothing to do, with the Marches who showed excellent volleyball and achieved victory by three sets to zero. Civitanova Marche started the match well, while Siena made too many mistakes in the first set (6 errors). In the second set, Lube’s volleyball, pushed by Zaytsev (mvp of the match, with the best player award which was presented at the end of the match by the sole director of the telecommunications company Marco Turillazzi), by Nikolov and Chinenyeze, was still excellent. In the third set, the Sienese tried to channel the partial onto the best tracks, with an excellent start for 6-1. But point after point Lube recovered until she conquered this set as well, thus closing the match.
The Sienese team will now begin training to prepare for the home match against Verona. The match will be played on Sunday 5 March at the PalaEstra starting at 20.30. The match will be sponsored by Aubay. The pre-sale to watch the match will start on Tuesday. It will be the penultimate day of the championship, the last day will be a week later with the Sienese who will be engaged in Lombardy against Monza.
