Consoli Sferc McDonald’s Brescia will spend two intense days in Valle Camonica, the valley of signs, between Friday and Saturday. The Brescian club, which will participate in the men’s A2 series volleyball championship from 15 October, welcomed with great enthusiasm the invitation from Gruppo Aragosta Odv, an association which has been organizing solidarity events in the valley for years with the aim of raising funds for the ‘Esine Hospital. Among these, the best known is the Run Aragosta which brings over 1600 people to Capo di Ponte every summer.
The Atlantide mini retreat is organized in collaboration with the Valle Camonica mountain community, Department of Sport, the Asc Capo di Ponte, the Asd Sellero Novelle, the municipalities of Capo di Ponte and Sellero, the Cooperativa Arcobaleno and is supported by the contribution of Good Beer, main sponsor of the event. The epilogue of the two days will be the test match in which the Brescians will face Conad Reggio Emilia on Saturday: the appointment is at the Capo di Ponte sports hall with free entry from 4.15pm, while the starting whistle is at 5.30pm.
The retreat will actually begin on Friday afternoon with the first training session in the Sellero gym at the end of which the toucans will have the pleasure of meeting and getting to know on the field about sixty girls from the two local volleyball clubs, Pallavolo Sellero and Pallavolo Capo di Ponte, partners active in the precious Camunian event. Dinner and overnight stay will be in the evocative setting of the Hermitage of Bienno.
On Saturday morning, after a short championship-style morning warm up at the Capo di Ponte gym, the entire team with managers will be accompanied by a guide on a visit to the rock carvings, a UNESCO heritage site.
The return test with Conad is in fact the first appearance of the new Consoli Sferc McDonald’s in Brescia, after the first victorious outing in Reggio Emilia and the useful joint training with Superlega’s Gas Sales Piacenza last week. Zambonardi’s athletes are completing the phase of greater physical load and the sets played are becoming increasingly important to test the group’s chemistry and test rotations on the field. The preparation journey of Atlantide Pallavolo Brescia, after this intense two days in Valle Camonica, will continue next week with the training camp in Sardinia (departure on 26 September) which will end with the quadrangular match in Sant’Antioco.
In the meantime, the company has opened the “10 cum laude” season ticket campaign with the possibility of purchasing discounted coupons on Vivaticket, both online and at authorized retailers throughout the province.
