The away match on the Consar Rcm Ravenna field reopens the path of Bcc Castellana Grotte in the A2 Credem Banca men’s volleyball series. Sunday 8 January 2023, at 18, at the Palasport Costa, the formation coached by Jorge Cannestracci is back on the field for what is the first appointment of the new year and for the second return day of the tournament.
It starts again from an exciting 2022 finale: New Mater first achieved the goal of entering the eight teams participating in the Del Monte Coppa Italia and then overcame Porto Viro in the quarter-finals, thus reaching those Cup semi-finals that had been missing since over 10 years. Also in the championship, the four consecutive victories between the first round and the second round (in Prata and then with Porto Viro, Santa Croce and Grottazzolina) brought Bcc Castellana Grotte back to second place in the standings. Behind the leaders Vibo Valentia, first with 32 points, in fact, a group that is crumbling but which still remains decidedly compact: Castellana 27, Bergamo 26, Santa Croce 24, Porto Viro and Cantù 23, Grottazzolina 22. From second to seventh place all in five lengths.
