Coming out with broken bones from the Brugherio knockout, Moyashi Garlasco had only a few days to prepare for the last match of 2023, taking place on Saturday 30 December at 3.30pm against Sarlux Sarroch. If we then consider the change on the bench, with the step back made by coach Vittorio Bertini, the days to prepare for the first match of the second round seem even fewer.
We therefore start again with the home match against Sarroch, who on his debut in Serie A3 had crushed the Neroverdi with a peremptory 3-0, who had never really entered the game at the time. The start of the second leg under a new technical guide is therefore intended to be an opportunity for the neroverdi to find new stimuli and turn around a season which at the end of the first leg was well below the expectations and potential of a group that is currently in relegation zone in 12th place with 10 points.
Savino Di Noia: “The group needs the closeness of the entire environment”.
Coming this week, the change on the bench certainly cannot lead to a sudden change in mentality and results, but according to DS Savino Di Noia:
“The main need is to convey a bit of tranquility to an environment that is not calm at the moment, both due to the negative results and on a tangible level in managing difficult situations during the game. I trust in the work of the new coach in these days to convey confidence to the group. We will start again from the PalaRavizza, but the kids, even more than the home crowd, need the closeness of the whole club and the whole environment, to make them understand that they are not alone in this moment of extreme difficulty both from a mental point of view than from a technical point of view. They must know that society, that is, those who chose them, believes in them.”
