Academy Volley Lube celebrates the continental feat of young talents Gianluca Cremoni, Andrea Giani and Nicola Zara, European champions with the Under 17 Italian national team of Monica Cresta. On Sunday in Podgorica, in Montenegro, the three Lubini won the Final of the European Championship beating Bulgaria in four sets (25-23, 25-19, 20-25, 25-20). For Cremoni there was also the great satisfaction of being recognized as the best opposite of the competition.
The reaction of Giampiero Freddi, head of the Academy, was not long in coming. “I am very happy with the result obtained by our boys – said the red and white manager -. In sport, no result comes by chance, but it is always the result of sweat and sacrifice. These satisfactions, for the boys, but also for our club, they’re the result of that sweat and that sacrifice. As manager of Lube’s youth sector, I can’t be anything but proud of these guys, now we’re waiting for them in Civitanova with the medal around their necks”.
