The strength of Personal Time at the start of the season is the group. An aspect perfectly embodied by spiker David Umek, San Donà is back from eight consecutive victories and will play the home derby with Motta on Saturday evening. A truly important start to the season for the Venetian team: “It was difficult – comments Umek – to think about starting the championship so full of victories and with such a beautiful game. I knew we could have a good journey, during the pre-season we laid the foundations by working hard in the gym both physically and mentally. The group gelled immediately and this laid the foundation for our victories.”
Eight statements in a row, among these some in which all the difficulty of this championship was seen: “I don’t know which is the most difficult or painful, but I can say that the one obtained in Parma was a tough blow. We still had to find the right chemistry, we went down by 2 sets, we recovered and won and it was a nice boost of confidence. Even the last one in Cagliari was a very difficult victory, every set went to the advantages, the long trip on a difficult court against an important opponent. We were clear and we won.”
The derby at PalaBarbazza on Saturday with Motta: “Like every derby it is one of the most awaited matches, if not the most awaited. After a difficult start they are improving and coming off a good victory. In the pre-season they made a loud statement with us, in Saturday’s match we will show that we deserve the ranking position, we will go onto the field with the right determination to improve further and trying to impose our game”.
