Stefano Trillini, what evaluations do you give of your move to Siena?
“For me it will be the litmus test. Last year in Motta di Livenza I played enough, I hope to confirm myself in the next championship. I’m happy to go and play for a team like Siena, I think the white and blue team is preparing a good roster judging by the first market moves already made. There are interesting prospects”.
What did coach Gianluca Graziosi tell you, who is also from the Marche region like you?
“We’ve already talked a few times, his presence at the club was crucial for my decision. Everyone speaks well of coach Graziosi, I’m very happy to be able to work with him”.
What did you think when Siena’s offer arrived?
“I thought it was an important square with ambitions. I have said what I think of the coach. I am pleased to be part of a new project that is now born with the will to do well”.
Looking at your numbers and what you’ve done up to now, you manage to do well in attack as well as blocking and serving: if they tell you that you’re a “complete” central defender, what do you say?
“I answer that I try to be (and laughs, ed.). I try to do my best in all the fundamentals.”
Do you already know the city of Siena?
“I went there once as a kid. I have a few memories of it, it’s a beautiful place.”
How did you get into the sport of volleyball?
“It happened when I was 6, as an alternative to football. I liked volleyball from the beginning and the passion has grown steadily year after year”.
Then being born in the Lube region…
“I had the Lube ten minutes from my house. I watched the games and I became more and more passionate about volleyball”.
