ShedirPharma places another big shot to complete the diagonal with Alberto Cavasin. Sports director Fabrizio Ruggiero had a great intuition, ensuring the performance of Alessandro Bellucci, a setter with a great variety of shots and personality to spare, capable of turning matches like very few in his role. Marchigiano class ’97 Alessandro Bellucci is back from two seasons in the white group with Garlasco and San Donà, in which he reached the play-offs for the jump in category. The director arrives in Sorrento bringing all his experience as a dowry, to push the green-and-white club towards goals that have so far only been cherished.

After the last few years in Garlasco and San Donà, you return to the South to embrace the ShedirPharma Sorrento project. What convinced you to choose these colors?

“My experiences in Lombardy and Veneto were positive, but at the same time I was developing the idea of a new adventure in the South. Sorrento was immediately interested in me, the president explained to me in detail the history and the project of the company, so I took the classic leap by signing without hesitation”.

Director Ruggiero strongly wanted you in the control room. What impression did it make on you, and how important is it to feel the company’s trust and esteem?

“The setter has a role of responsibility within the team: I am delighted with the trust placed in me by the club, and I can’t wait to repay it on the pitch. Sorrento was my first choice: together with my attorney I gave full availability to take this road, and everything materialized in a short time”.

You’re back from 2 consecutive play-offs, how important can your experience be for an ambitious club that aims to raise the bar?

“Very, very much. The last two seasons have seen me fighting for the top spots in the standings, and I’d like to continue along the same lines, aiming to get as far as possible.”

Both promotions came from the Girone Blu last season. The level will be high, so what kind of approach should we have from the very first games?

“Serie A3 is an increasingly competitive championship, also because many big names are now deciding to enter this category, helping to raise the level. Our goal will be to take the field always giving our soul for the Sorrentine colours, because as an old coach of mine used to say, winning is the only thing that matters”.
