For Volley Tricolore is the year of great comebacks: after a season in Parma in A3 Nicola Sesto signs in Reggio Emilia.

198 cm central defender, defined by everyone as the “Mayor” of Reggio Emilia for his knowledge of the city, returns to wear the yellow and red shirt: “I signed with Reggio because I know all the players who revolve around the club and I can only consider them of I’m happy to go home.”

Sesto, born in 1987, was part of the Reggio Emilia team that won the Italian Cup and championship: “I thought the cycle in Reggio Emilia ended with the victory of the Cup and championship, but it wasn’t like that: I had a transitional year, where I played in Parma, to which I wish good luck, and then I felt even more the esteem and affection of the club, the fans and the technical staff and it was natural to return to the city that I consider my home”.

In his fifth experience with Reggio Emilia, Sesto will find many familiar faces: “I know many guys, many contacted me before signing with Volley Tricolore and I have always spent positive words with them about the club. There will be many young people who will have to prove their worth and more experienced athletes who will act as ‘hen’ for the little ones, and then to finish off some ‘athlete bets’. This year I will have the role of joker between the parties, which is a role and a figure that I like to have; I want to thank, in addition to the club and the technical staff, the club I work for, which allows me to work and play at a high level”.
