The direction will be entrusted to Giacomo Selleri. Born in 2005, one of the champions made in Diavoli Rosa, four times Italian Champion in the rosanero jersey, non-stop from the 2018/19 season to the 2021/22 season, from under 14 to under 17 with also the U20 Junior League won by protagonist in the field when he was only 16 years old. Last year he was also crowned European Champion with the Italian pre-junior national team, a shirt he will most likely continue to wear in this long summer that will see the Azzurrini play at the Wevza in Portugal from 1 to 5 July, with the EYOF “EUROPEAN YOUTH OLYMPIC FESTIVAL” from 23 to 29 July in Maribor in Slovenia and then to Argentina for the world championships from 4 to 13 August. This is the pedigree of Giacomo Selleri who, after last season gaining experience as a deputy, is now ready to take on the great task of directing Gamma Chimica Brugherio in the next Serie A3 Credem Banca championship.
Many responsibilities of a setter, even more if you are so young but Selleri, year after year, has been able to earn the full trust of the whole club showing determination and desire to never be satisfied, all accompanied by always being found ready when called upon. In fact, his contribution in game 3 of the playouts was decisive for the salvation of the season that we have just left behind. Character and charisma certainly don’t hurt to make his directorial debut even more promising.

Six years ago I arrived at this club full of energy and dreams to realize and today one of those dreams is coming true, to be the director of the first team. It’s a big responsibility, of course, but I’m ready to roll up my sleeves and always give my best. Certainly compared to the boy of six years ago I am more mature and more experienced but the drive and determination are the same as a boy who still dreams of becoming one of the “greats” of volleyball. The first year in Serie A was electrifying and allowed me to get to know the new category and after the excellent result obtained, my salvation, I’m ready to make myself available to the team to raise the bar. It will undoubtedly be a complicated season, we will have a lot to learn, but I can’t wait to be put to the test and to fight together with my teammates to achieve important results”.
