A.S. Volley Lube announces the annual renewal of coach Romano Giannini, who will take on the role of assistant coach for the third consecutive season on the Chicco Blengini staff. In these two years, a solid understanding has been created between the two with a Scudetto won and a close one at the helm of Cucine Lube Civitanova.
The assistant coach originally from Porto Potenza Picena does not hide his role in view of the new competitive year and does not lose sight of the imminent adventure at the Trofeo delle Regioni as coach of the Marche representative.
Romano Giannini: “From the first moment, at Lube I structured my collaboration with annual renewals because, after a life as head coach in other categories, I wanted to settle in the role of second. I found myself very well, I was not surprised by the charisma of the red and white managers, their great organizational skills and attention to detail demonstrate how it is possible for a club to always compete at the highest levels. After the Scudetto, another important season has arrived. Chicco Blengini has given me so much, both technically and empathically. This third act is a consecration of excellent harmony. He has another year of contract and it is right to continue together in a club with which I get along very well. As first coach, on the other hand, I proudly carry on the adventure with the Marche Representative, I haven’t lost my grit and I make myself feel in training when needed. The Trophy of the Regions is approaching, scheduled in Campobasso from 27 June to 1 July. In the group there are eight athletes registered with the Academy Volley Lube and we hope that this hard core will give us a good boost in the tournament. In the Lube first team, on the other hand, we have young players with important experiences behind them, we are convinced that they can improve further. To name a few, Bottolo, Nikolov and Yant will also grow in the reception bagher. There has already been considerable progress this year.
