Setter Riccardo Pinelli returns to the city of Aversa after 5 seasons spent traveling around Italy. He played with Sigma Aversa shirt, in that team that came close to the Pool Promotion in Serie A2 by a tiny point and was able to give historical evenings to all the fans. Pinelli will find coach Sandro Passaro on the bench who was Pasquale Bosco’s deputy in that year. Many reasons to do well, an athlete who returns to Campania with greater confidence in his own means and obviously – with the strength of his 32 years – with a lot more experience. A career full of Serie A and successes for the new setter of Wow Green House Aversa: his debut in B2 with Modena at just 17 years old, then the federal technical project of Club Italia, moving from Blue College (Rome) to the Serie A championship A2. And from that moment he will never leave professionalism again. In the 2012-13 season he made his debut in SuperLega with Modena, then a lot of A2 with Potenza Picena, Matera, Vibo Valentia and Tuscania. Then the experience in Aversa and then the following year he marries at Verona, in the Superlega, to then sign, for the 2019-20 season with Reggio Emilia, in Serie A2, where he plays two seasons. Two vintages also at Emma Villas Siena and now the new arrival at the PalaJacazzi
“It will be a great challenge, I meet people I know well and who live volleyball with great passion and love. I’m ready, I’m back in the game in a city that has given me so much”. So a ‘look’ at the next A2: “The level has risen a lot, even compared to the championship I played in Aversa. It has grown exponentially over the years, now with only one group everything becomes more difficult. Just think that in the last season there was a very short standings, with a win you could find yourself in the playoffs and with a defeat in the relegation zone. There will be a lot of balance and that’s why it will be necessary to think match by match. The goal must be that of salvation , we will try to conquer it as soon as possible”. And then the relationship with Sandro Passaro: “Over the years, after meeting in Aversa, we have always felt. A great human relationship has been born, we have also played some friendly matches against. He is very prepared and I am happy to meet him again at the PalaJacazzi”.
