Lucio Fusaro, president of Allianz Powervolley Milano, who takes the field in person to deliver an overview of the direction that Milan is taking to give continuity to its project and clarify some situations concerning the team’s market in a more or less direct way chaired by him.
We start from the market situation and how Milan is reacting, between confirmations and new additions:
“I believe that this new way of seeing volleyball, something that didn’t happen in my day, means that already during the championship there are movements, proposals, things that can be read from all sides with players who could go from one side to the other. ‘other; it is a very important moment because we have set, as an idea, a three-year project starting from the current one. Luckily we did well and therefore various opportunities are arriving from various top players who are proposing themselves.”
Indiscretions that appeared in the sector press also involve some of the players of the Milanese club:
“This week I read that my favourite, Paolino Porro, also favored by all the girls in Milan, is likely to change team: it is clear that such an important boy is interesting for everyone, I read that even some clubs could think about it, in reality Paolino has a contract with us for next year too and it is therefore evident that he will also be with Powervolley for the whole of next year; in addition we are trying to renew because we bet on him that we could do something important and together we would like to get there. This is the thing I’d like to clarify because otherwise there are rumors: Paolino has a contract with us and we’ll see what happens the following year.”
Market that never stops and forces you to always remain active:
“Last year various opportunities presented themselves, perhaps some late, because we had already defined the player squad, then obviously, out of politeness, we also heard the latest proposals from some important players; in reality we preferred to maintain what we did with this team which, unexpectedly, or rather with great satisfaction this year managed to eliminate one of the historic clubs to reach the semi-final in Rome for the Italian Cup Final Four, so this was very pleased. At the moment we are faced with the fact that we have a series of opportunities that we are evaluating and we are very happy with what we are doing, also from the point of view of the public, the people and how the territory is following us a bit .”
