First away game of the 2023/2024 season for Pool Libertas Cantù, and it is already a trip by plane. Coach Francesco Denora Caporusso’s boys will be busy on Sunday 22 October at 4.00 pm at the PalaGrotte in Castellana Grotte (BA) against the hosts BCC Tecbus, in the most classic of the “bank derbies”. The first day of the championship did not go well for the Apulians either: they were in fact beaten 3-1 by Consoli Sferc at the San Filippo Sports Center in Brescia.
Coach Francesco Denora Caporusso presents the challenge like this: “It will be a stimulating match, against a very young team but full of enthusiasm, an aspect not to be underestimated especially if added to the enthusiasm of their arena, a pitch that is anything but simple. For our part, there is a desire to find the first victory of the championship: we are working in the gym to grow and refine our strengths. Let’s start again from the awareness of not having played a bad match against Aversa, but taking advantage of that match: we know where to correct the aim to grow further. The first objective at the moment is to grow from game to game to reach important team maturity.”
