Cisterna Volley beat Allianz Milano in three sets and achieved their first victory of the season. The success arrived in front of a very involved audience who accompanied the growth of Falasca’s team which during the match was able to give continuity to the game systems that had already been seen: Cisterna came from the defeat in four sets of Catania while Milan, without Porro (then deployed and dosed during the match) and without Dirlic, they were fresh from the home defeat against Piacenza. Cisterna closed the match with 12 point blocks (against Milan’s two) and many balls touched to blocks which contained the offensive phase of the Milan team. There were many service errors by both teams but Cisterna’s attack, led by Faure and Ramon, made the difference. The first two sets were won with a significant margin (25-14 and 25-15) while in the third Milan gave the Pontini a lot of trouble who prevailed struggling for half an hour until 25-23.
