The first round of our first A3 championship ends on Tuesday 26th on the Cus Cagliari pitch at 6pm.
Rossoblu led by Captain Menicali who have so far had an excellent championship as newly promoted teams, a fifth position in the standings with 21 points in their possession which keeps them in full swing for qualification for the Italian Cup. Gialloblu nine points behind and fresh from the heavy home defeat against Gamma Chimica Brugherio, absolutely in need of points with a view to survival.
Opponents who can count on a starting six that is performing very well as a whole, with Menicali and Busch constant points of reference.
Captain Riccardo Romoli presents us with the next commitment:
“Like every derby it will certainly be a race in itself, regardless of rankings and precedents. They are having an excellent championship, they are in a comfortable position in the standings and theoretically they start with the forecast in favour. We will go to Cagliari to play our match and try to get the points we need, we must remember that it will be a match like many others, important for our ranking and therefore no different from the others. Cagliari has achieved good results so far, they have a very experienced starting six and they will want to do well at home, where they play at ease and play excellent volleyball. We find ourselves in a ranking situation in which it is necessary to express our best game with continuity, we are working hard in the gym, after Saturday’s misstep at home against Brugherio we must start again from the positive things we know how to do and aim to express them on Tuesday and in the races that await us”
