The second line of Vero Volley Monza is once again under the responsibility of Marco Gaggini, a talented libero born in 2002 who grew up at Vero Volley Monza and has just returned from an excellent season in SuperLega Credem Banca with Verona. Strong in reception, quick in defense and solid technically and mentally, the athlete born in Varese is ready to return to the club that launched him to the highest levels of national and continental volleyball.
After 31 appearances for the Verona team in the 22/23 season, his first as a starter, ending with a receiving average of 25.6% and 119 sets played, the libero aims to confirm himself with the rossoblù team, also accompanied thanks to his plays, in the 21/22 season, the conquest of the Consortium’s first continental title in the men’s sector: the CEV Cup 2022.
Among the curiosities concerning Gaggini, who grew up in the youth teams of the Monza area (three years in Serie B alternating with the Under teams), there is also an Under 16 Scudetto won in Turin in the 2017/2018 season, in which he was named MVP of the competition , precisely with Massimo Eccheli, the same coach who led it two seasons ago and will continue to do so the next time between Italy and Europe (in the CEV Challenge Cup 2024).
