The first leg of Allianz Milano in the CEV Cup 2024 will have a particular flavour: the Milanese will play the home match of the Round of 16 at the PalaPirastu in Cagliari, thanks to the collaboration of Powervolley with the local authorities. Paok Thessaloniki, one of the major sports clubs in Greece, will be Allianz’s opponent. First meeting in Sardinia therefore at 7.00 pm tomorrow, Wednesday 13 December.
A decidedly high-level rival for Matteo Piano and his companions. Paok has in fact won three Greek championships, all in the last ten years and four Greek Cups, including the last two editions. In Europe so far they have not lost a single set: in the previous round, coach Josko Milenkoski’s team was in fact right with a double 3-0 against Mladost of Zagreb.

Mint Vero Volley Monza on stage tomorrow afternoon in Athens for the first match of the Round of 16 against Panathinaikos
The Mint Vero Volley Monza is ready to return to the field tomorrow, Wednesday 13 December, at 6.30 pm, at the P. Gazgas Competition Hall in Athens where they will face Panathinaikos, for the first leg of the Round of 16 of the Challenge Cup 2024 .
Smiling in the first match would certainly be important in view of the return match, scheduled in Brianza, on Thursday 21 December and Vero Volley is aware of this. The Brianza team will have to be good at managing their physical and mental energy after the match played in Catania on Sunday 10 December, valid for the 9th day of the SuperLega Credem Banca. The success against the Etna team has guaranteed Mint to consolidate fourth place in the standings, at 17 points, the result of a first round season, at the moment, with a score of six victories and three defeats. Monza will be able to rely on the team’s coherence, which has emerged in a decisive way at the beginning of the season, against the fearsome Hellenics ready to do battle within friendly walls.
