Great satisfaction for the youth sector of C.S.PRATA VOLLEY which continues to reap the fruits of a deep and capillary work. The national teams sector has just announced that Marco Favretto, a player in the U17 team and in the APM Serie D, has been called up with the Italian U17 national team, with which he will participate in the Torneo Bussinello, an international event scheduled for 7 and 8 April next in Modena . The young setter born in 2007, already seen by Monica Cresta’s technical staff in the recently enlarged Club Italia, will be able to test himself with international volleyball and bring this experience back to the club. A club that expressed great satisfaction with Marco’s career, which was also possible thanks to the collaboration with Insieme Per Pordenone Volley, a club where the young man began his volleyball career.
“It is a beautiful signal – commented DG Dario Sanna – which makes us understand that we have taken the correct path also in the growth of the youth sector. A path that must certainly be evaluated in a multi-year context, but which is starting to give the first tangible satisfactions. After the experience of Club Italia which involved seven of our athletes, the different calls to the regional and territorial representatives and the good performances in the championships and qualifying tournaments in which we participated around Italy, this very welcome news has arrived. News that spurs us to work with even greater energy and enthusiasm to create good and aware players and bring out their talent, giving them the right tools”.
“This news is very important for us – echoes the DT Francesco Gagliardi – and not only for the satisfaction given by Marco’s growth, a growth that the coaches of the blue staff have also noticed, but also because it is proof that the synergies with the territory and in particular the one established with Insieme Per Pordenone, are fruitful and allow local talents to train and emerge”
