Luka Marttila will wear the Vero Volley Monza jacket also next season. For the young and talented Finnish spiker born in 2003, the first experience in SuperLega Credem Banca was full of lessons but also great satisfaction, having entered the ongoing match several times, giving a precious hand to his teammates.
Strong in service (5 personal aces signed, even if it was his continuity from nine meters that had the greatest impact) and intelligent and effective in attack, Marttila has developed reliability also in the receiving phase, where he stood out positively in moments when has been called into question. Currently aggregated to the senior national team of his country (he is playing in the CEV European Golden League), in 21/22 he was elected best newcomer in the Finnish top division, where he finished with 398 points out of 30 games played. The tally of the number 2 of Vero Volley Monza last season, extremely happy to stay in Brianza and be able to play between Italy and Europe, with participation in the next CEV Challenge Cup 2024, was only 33 points out of 25 sets played, but also great quality in the plays and above all in the growth shown between the beginning and the end of the championship.
