less than a month left for the official meeting of Cucine Lube Civitanova. The technical staff wasted no time and planned the resumption of activity well in advance of the debut in SuperLega Credem Banca, scheduled for 22 October at the Eurosuole Forum against Vero Volley Monza. In fact, the vice-champions of Italy are summoned to the Civitanovese building for the morning of Monday 21 August. In addition to the delivery of the material and the presentation of the competitive year, the first appointment for the athletes present will include the customary clinical tests and, subsequently, the process of medical examinations. The commitments of the national teams with the selections of their respective countries will delay the arrival of numerous members by a few weeks, who will later join the rest of the group.
Six members of the first team will report in August. From day one, the libero Francesco Bisotto, the centre-backs Enrico Diamantini and Jacopo Larizza, the opposite Matheus Motzo, the Norwegian setter Jakob Thelle and the “Tsar” Ivan Zaytsev, who this year will be part of the chess board as lateral to take advantage of the mix of experience and quality in reception. The group of big names should be joined by young hopefuls from the Academy Volley Lube such as Gianluca Cremoni, Francesco Giacomini, Marco Stambuco and other emerging players of the red and white cantera. The head coach Chicco Blengini, the second coach Romano Giannini, the assistant Enrico Massaccesi and the athletic trainer Max Merazzi are planning the gradual resumption of work and a test match calendar with commitments starting from September.
