The Scudetto Final is back in a draw: Game 2 ends with over 4,000 fans of the Eurosuole Forum (sold out) applauding Cucine Lube Civitanova for the victory at the tie break (25-21, 25-15, 19-25, 23 -25, 17-15) against Itas Trentino. A statement that brings the tricolor series to the 1-1 result in the best of five matches and reopens the games with the certainty that, regardless of the result of Sunday 7 May (6.00 pm on Rai Sport) at the BLM Group Arena, there will also be a Race 4 in Civitanova Marche, postponed today directly to Sunday 14 May (9.05 pm with live broadcast on Rai 2).
Captain De Cecco and his companions dominate the first two sets, then suffer the return of the Trentino players and impose themselves on the advantage of the tie break. What made the difference in the second round of the Finale are the serve (9 to 5 aces) and the more incisive attack in the key phases (49% against 46%). MVP of the match is the red and white central Chinenyeze with 18 points and 89% positivity, the top scorer is Michieletto (19 seals) on the opposite front. On the piece De Cecco, who sends four teammates in double figures: in addition to Babar, also Zaytsev (17 points), Nikolov (17) and Yant (15). Itas stands out for the quality of the wall-defence. Nice challenge between free Balaso and Laurenzano.
In the first set, Lube works in all fundamentals, starting with the serve and the block. After an initial outburst from the Gialloblù, led by Kaziyski (8 points in the set with 64%), the hosts gain the upper hand with the contribution of Zaytsev (6 points) and Nikolov (5 points) for the final 25-21. In the second set Trento’s forcing lasts the blink of an eye (6-8). Thanks to an omnipresent Balaso and De Cecco’s combinations with all the attackers, Lube takes off 20-13. In evidence Yant (7 points, of which 3 on service) and Nikolov (6 with 1 ace) for the final 25-15. In the third set the winning attacks are equal, Dzavoronok replaces Kaziyski among the guests and the Trentino redemption arrives with 4 team blocks and many balls fouled by the block. Michieletto scores 7 points, one more than Nikolov, for 19-25. In the fourth set we fight point to point. The formation from the Marche collects 4 blocks and suffers from the Trentino attacks (57%), but arrives with momentum at the sprint (22-21), before undergoing a last minute comeback (23-25). At the tie break Trento recovers three points in the final, but Lube believes in it more and wins 17-15.

We have often been in mental difficulty and we have also suffered from the particular situation from the physical point of view of some element. However, the Finals are like this, and you always have to play them to the fullest; the substitutes from the bench gave us a big hand to get back into the match, especially Džavoronok. Down 0-2 we showed a good reaction but these games are not like the regular season ones and the tie break leaves no points: it’s a defeat”.
