Preseason derby in sight for Cucine Lube Civitanova. Tomorrow, Friday 6 October (5pm), the partnership led by Chicco Blengini will support a joint training session with Massimiliano Ortenzi’s Yuasa Battery Grottazzolina. The two teams will meet in front of the net for the third time since the start of athletic training. Lube won with the maximum margin the friendly match on Friday 8 September on the neutral ground of Recanati for the vernissage of the PalaCingolani-Pierini, freshly restyled, and won 3-1 the subsequent test match on Friday 22 September at the Eurosuole Forum .
Particularly intense week for the cooks who competed against Sieco Service Ortona on Wednesday, today they will have a last minute home session together with the Erm Group San Giustino (around 5pm) and tomorrow they will return to the field, again at the Palas, for the regional derby training with the Yuasa Battery Grottazzolina.
On the Cucine Lube Civitanova front, eight athletes from the first team were present (Anzani, Bisotto, Chinenyeze, Diamantini, Larizza, Motzo, Thelle and Zaytsev), flanked by some young talents from the Volley Lube Academy. There’s about a week left until the Nationals return. The objective of the Italian vice-champions in these tests open to the public is to increase the pace of the match and improve the game mechanisms.
Former Lube players Andrea Marchisio and Manuele Marchiani are on the roster of Grottazzolina, a team that is further along in preparation because it will make its debut in the Serie A2 Credem Banca Regular Season on the weekend of 14 and 15 October.
