At the direction of Rinascita Lagonegro we have the setter Lorenzo Piazza, born in 1992 originally from Pescara. The setter from Pescara after several years in Serie B, in the 2015/16 season makes his debut in A2 with Aurispa Alessano, in 2016/17 he will play for Bergamo but in the same year he will wear the Lagonegro shirt for the first time. In the following years he will play for Cantù and Macerata passing through the A3 series with San Donà di Piave and returning to A2 with the Mondovì shirt. In 2020 he will be called up by Ottaviano in A3 and in 2021 he will play again for Mondovì until the last championship, in 2022, where with Tonno Callipo Calabria Vibo Valentia he will win the Super Cup, the Italian Cup and the A2 Championship (play off) bringing the team promoted to SuperLega.
“Mine is a very welcome return, I was in Lagonegro in the 2016/17 season and I have wonderful memories, a period in which there was the first salvation for the club in A2. I had a telephone conversation with coach Lorizio and we both want the same goal: to try to be protagonists in this championship. The first step will be to hit the playoffs in the best possible position in the standings and then, as they say in these cases, we’ll see. We will try to put all the effort into it and we will try to achieve all the set goals. On the other hand, I can’t wait to start and feel the affection of Lagonegro and all its fans again! Let’s hope it’s a season full of satisfactions!”
