Born in Cuba on January 7, 2003, of Puerto Rico sports nationality, Klistan Lawrence is the new opposite of Kemas Lamipel S. Croce. Prospectus with incredible physical qualities, he comes from Allianz Milano, a reality that brought him to Italy last season as Jean Patry’s deputy. Lawrence comes from American colleges, where he was first choice for High School (Long Beach State University). Despite his young age, he already boasts considerable international experience, having participated with Puerto Rico in the Pan American Games, the Pan American Cup, and, above all, the last World Cup. Videos of his athletic prowess circulate on the net where he is defined as “Monster of the Vertical Jump” or “Volleyball God from Puerto Rico”, all elements that will predictably unleash the imagination and ambition of a passionate square like that of S. Croce sull’ Arno. At the Pala Parenti he will have to make people forget beloved “sacred monsters” such as Walla Souza and Matheus Motzo, but “Klis”, as they called him in Milan, seems to have what it takes to withstand the pressure and do even better.
In the Superlega he gained experience in one of the strongest teams, but obviously he found little field, despite entering often and collecting various appearances, as well as 7 points (5 in attack and 2 in blocking).
In the new Kemas Lamipel 2023-24 it will go alongside the confirmed Colli, Coscione, Loreti, and the new entries Cargioli and Mati.
Thus Lawrence, in his very first declarations: “I am very happy to be able to continue my career in Italy in S. Croce after the year spent in Milan. Playing in S. Croce will be an honor for me, I can’t wait to get started. A big hello to the Lupi supporters, I promise I will give my best to defend the red and white colors and achieve great results”.
