The Italian national team beats France in three sets in front of 10,000 spectators at the Palazzo dello Sport in Rome and wins the final of the European Championships: tomorrow, Saturday 16 September, it will be Italy – Poland again, the same match that decided the 2022 World Championships.
The Palazzo dello Sport in Rome is preparing to host another evening of great volleyball tomorrow (16 September), with the 6pm match valid for third place between Slovenia (defeated 3-1 by Poland in the other Semi-final) and France, while the main event at 9.00 pm between Italy and Poland which will close the continental event.
It promises to be an unmissable event even remotely, with the double live broadcast on Rai 1 and Sky Sport Arena guaranteeing total coverage and will record record numbers, in all likelihood exceeding the almost 3 and a half million (adding the two networks) that they saw the Semifinal.
Among the 10,000 ready to support Giannelli and his teammates live, there will also be a special fan present, namely the President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella, a great volleyball enthusiast. Also at the Palazzo dello Sport, President Mattarella participated a few months ago (26 February 2023) in the Final of the Del Monte® Coppa Italia, where he awarded the trophy-winning Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza, handing the trophy to captain Antoine Brizard.
