Just over three months after winning the fifth Scudetto in its history, the Trentino Volley men’s team is ready to resume activity in the gym; the meeting of the Italian champions in view of the kick-off of the 2023/24 season is in fact set for the late afternoon of Tuesday 22 August, when the players not involved with the national teams and the coaches will gather at the daily “ilT Arena” ” of Trento to start supporting the first work sessions.
At the disposal of the coach Fabio Soli and the assistant coach Adriano Dipinto (main news in a staff for the rest confirmed in full) there will be eight of the fourteen athletes of the squad defined at the end of the summer Volley Market; all the others are at work with Italy, Belgium, Serbia and Slovenia. The unpublished faces will be those of Alessandro Acquarone (setter), Giulio Magalini (spinner, fresh from the gold medal at the Chengdu Universiade) and Kamil Rychlicki (opposite), while to ensure continuity with the group that won the Scudetto there will be Berger, Cavuto, Laurenzano, Nelli and Pace. Some of the most promising elements of the Youth Sector will train with them, who will then appear in the squad of the Junior team that will play in Serie B again under the name of UniTrento Volley.
As usual, the half hour before the start of training will be reserved for the media for an initial informal contact (4.00 pm) and for interviews at the start of the season.
