Having archived the victory at the PM&B tournament, which inaugurates the Tuscania Volley pre-season, an opportunity for setter Stefano Schettino to once again show his great skills as a player always at the service of the team. The tournament, won by Plus VolleyBall Sabaudia, saw the team led by coach Leondino Giombini play for the first time on an official occasion.
Stefano Schettino (Plus Volleyball Sabaudia): “I am very proud of the result, which was achieved against two teams with a solid volleyball tradition. This is a first achievement for Plus Volleyball Sabaudia, which reflects the hard work in the weight room and gym of all the team’s players, without exception. In fact, all my teammates did not spare themselves in this preparatory phase and this bodes well for the start of the actual competitive season, now imminent. On the other hand, the results of the tournament speak clearly, Plus VolleyBall Sabaudia with 6 points won at the expense of Invicta Grosseto and Maury’s Com Cavi Tuscania, clearly demonstrated its supremacy. My compliments go in particular to my teammate Samuel Onwuelo, who won the MVP, the trophy in memory of Massimo Pierantozzi intended for the best player of the tournament. As far as I’m concerned, I’m happy with my performance and I hope to continue, under the careful guidance of coach Giombini, to grow. I take this opportunity to renew my invitation to all the citizens of Sabaudia to come in large numbers to watch our championship matches. It starts on Sunday 15 October.
