Sixteen, thirteen and sixteen more points. But also five winning serves (four of which in the most recent match, in San Donà di Piave) and four blocks. These are the numbers of one of the happiest notes of this start of the championship for Belluno Volley: the numbers put together by Andrea Schiro. The twenty-two year old spiker, originally from Thiene, is showing off a wide range of attacks in attack, but also, and above all, an enviable continuity of performance. That same continuity that the group is also looking for, reduced by a stop period imposed by the calendar. And oriented towards the next match on the calendar: the one scheduled for Sunday 12 November (6pm), at the Spes Arena, against WiMore Salsomaggiore Terme.
IMPROVEMENTS – «So far – says Schiro himself – the start of the season has been quite balanced. From a personal point of view, I’m trying to give my best in every match and in training, while at a team level we know that there is always room for improvement.” And it is precisely the improvements that will have to be realized, and transformed into points, starting from the match against WiMore: «It is necessary to work on team cohesion, increase our effectiveness on serve and in some game situations».
EXTRA PUSH – Now, however, we return to the Spes Arena, where the rhinos didn’t leave even a single set on the road: «There is a difference, in terms of approach, between playing at home and away – Schiro continues -. Within friendly walls, we have the support of our fans. And this aspect guarantees an extra boost. On the move, however, we will have to be more concentrated and find motivation within ourselves.”
CLIMATE – Thanks to the fewer matches, Belluno Volley is currently mid-table, with a record of two victories and as many defeats: «The climate in the group is excellent. We support each other and help each other. The sense of unity in the collective is strong, as is the team spirit.” The next opponent occupies the last place in the ranking with one point under their belt. But Schiro warns: «Despite the placement in the standings, WiMore is still a team with quality. In any case, we are determined to give our best on the pitch. We expect a good challenge.”
