After the trophy faded only at the tie break of the Final in Cagliari in the last edition, Cucine Lube Civitanova will assault the Del Monte® Supercoppa SuperLega 2023 on the Biella field. The first seasonal title will be played in the Piedmontese city on October 31, 2023 (Semifinals) and November 1, 2023 (Final), between the second (October 29) and third (November 3) day of the Regular Season of the SuperLega Credem Banca.
The competition, branded Lega Pallavolo Serie A in collaboration with the Piedmont Region, the Municipality of Biella, the FIPAV Piedmont Committee and the Ticino Sesia Tanaro Territorial Committee, will inaugurate the new guise of the “Biella Forum” of 5,000 people, which will complete the restructuring for the event.
The pairings of the Semifinals are already known: on Tuesday 31 October, the Italian champions of Itas Trentino will challenge Sir Susa Vim Perugia, best classified in the Regular Season, while Cucine Lube Civitanova, qualified as finalist of the 2022/23 Scudetto, will face it with Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza, winner of the Del Monte® Coppa Italia 2022/23. The showdown will take place on Wednesday 1 November.

The success achieved by the pre-season tournament organized in Biella last season certainly deserved due credit to the concrete and passionate commitment of the local institutions, the Biellese Volleyball School and the other partners.

“The League has chosen the ‘Biella Forum’ on the basis of targeted parameters. I share the philosophy of bringing top-level volleyball to places where there is a need to promote our sport, especially when it comes to kermesses organized during the championship, as happened in 2022 in Sardinia. From a logistical point of view, the trip to Biella is not easy for us, but it is welcome to play in Piedmont because they are choices that are good for the movement. Among other things, Lube has already played a friendly tournament there with Modena, Monza and Trento. We can speak of a beautiful sports hall in a welcoming city and of a valid organizational structure full of enthusiasm, which has already given ample guarantees of being worthy of a Super Cup Final.
