Giancarlo D’Amico is no longer the coach of Avimecc Volley Modica. The Lucan coach consensually leaves the blue-and-white bench for personal reasons.
The choice was consensual with the Modica management chaired by Ezio Aprile who indulged the Lucan coach’s desire to get closer to home.
“When Giancarlo showed us his desire and his need to want to get closer to home – explains the president of Avimecc Volley Modica – we could not do anything else with great regret than to take note of it and satisfy his requests. In these two years he has participated in our growth path with his professionalism and his great commitment together with all his technical staff. We all – he continues – thank him for the immense work he has done in Modica over the years and we can do nothing but wish him the best of luck both professionally and personally. Now – concludes Ezio Aprile – we will discuss with all the management, we will look around and we will try to find as soon as possible a worthy successor who will be able to continue with us the growth path undertaken in recent years and we hope as soon as possible to be able to announce the new blue-and-white coach”.
Giancarlo D’Amico, before leaving the county town, wanted to thank everyone for the way he was welcomed and for the way he was left free to work in these two seasons full of “emotions”, joys and sorrows shared not only with the management, but with the whole city that he calls his “Modica family”.
