Geotrans Coop new Gold Sponsor Saturnia Volley. The history of Geotrans of Catania is a story of redemption. From a business of the Santapaola-Ercolano mafia family to a company run by workers who formed a cooperative after a long period of judicial administration.
The Catania road transport company which became the property of its workers in 2022, after having been confiscated from the mafia for almost a decade, today carries on Addiopizzo’s legality campaigns and is a trailblazer for other Sicilian entrepreneurs who want to fight against the gang system.
After all, its payoff is clear and explicit: “legality travels with confiscated companies”.
The union between Geotrans and Saturnia therefore can only be a union that goes beyond mere sponsorship, as the president Luigi Pulvirenti explains: “From today we do not share an exclusively sporting path together.
