Recharged by the 3 points achieved with Mirandola, the neroverdi prepare the challenge with another direct opponent. Geetit Bologna arrives at the PalaRavizza on Sunday 17 December, a team with three former black-greens and looking for points to move up in the standings from an eleventh place occupied with 9 points (1 less than the black-greens) which does not leave the Bolognese calm, capable of leading to home only 2 wins in this first half of the championship. Called to replicate last week’s performance of character, the Garlacticos need to find continuity of play and results to try to close the first round as far as possible from the relegation zone.
Federico Moro: “There will be a great desire to win on both sides.”
Having entered the heart of the championship, the Garlacticos will have to give their all in facing their direct opponents in this group, as assistant coach Federico Moro explains:
“The victory with Mirandola is certainly proof of teamwork and great determination, having been achieved through a comeback and with the contribution of practically all the personnel available. On the other hand, it gave us a rather ephemeral joy, because all our direct competitors also won important points: it will therefore be fundamental to achieve another success next Sunday against Bologna”.
The challenge against Bologna is delicate, as it faces a moment of difficulty due to several injuries among its ranks:
“Despite what one might imagine, considering that our opponents field a team with three of our former players (Baciocco, Giampietri and Minelli) whose characteristics we therefore know well, the match that awaits us is anything but simple to prepare: Bologna is plagued by injuries in all departments and fresh from a change on the bench, so rather than on a tactical reading we are preparing a lot on the technical characteristics of our opponents. One thing is certain: there will be a great desire to win on both sides!”
