Francesco D’Amico is Rana Verona’s new libero for the 2023/2024 season. It comes from the Italian vice-champions of Cucine Lube Civitanova. The class of 1999 has carved out a large space for himself with the Marche shirt throughout the last year, offering his contribution in the defense and reception phases. He also played a leading role in the Scudetto Final series against Itas Trentino, where he took the field in all five matches played.
Before reaching the top Italian championship, D’Amico was part of the Agnelli Tipiesse Bergamo roster in Serie A2. During his militancy in the Orobic land he lifted the Super Cup and the Italian Cup of his category in 2021, then replicating the following year with the conquest of another Super Cup. “The first thing I feel is certainly satisfaction, because when I received the call from Rana Verona I immediately perceived the trust they would have placed in me” declared the new freebie of the Verona team. “Last season I faced Verona many times and on all occasions I had the sensation of playing against a strong and well organized opponent. This certainly prompted me to make the decision quickly, because I believe it is an important step in my career. I am honored to be part of this team and I can’t wait to start working with the coach and with the group and to experience the climate of the arena. I will do my best. Come on Verona!”.
