It is the Paolo VI, a few minutes before the kick-off of the Serie A match on Sunday 5 November, the place where president Degli Agosti received a gift from Giambattista Schiaffino and his wife Emanuela, founders of the Flipness association, a defibrillator, a noble gesture, which we had the pleasure and honor of welcoming, and which paves the way for a close collaboration between the two realities of the Brughero area.
Flipness is a voluntary association that invests in young people, offering them training courses to help them focus on a passion and then transform it into a profession, a trade, a moment of volunteering or even just a hobby capable of enriching themselves and their others.
Flipness was born in the memory of Filippo Schiaffino, son of Giambattista and Emanuela, a young boy, passionate about football and bartender, who passed away prematurely in 2020. From here, with great strength, the parents decided to continue to cultivate the talents and passions of son, offering training opportunities to many young people who, like him, are chasing a dream.
Training on Linkedin, introduction to journalism, radio direction, store specialist, play like a DJ and then introduction to radio hosting, evenings dedicated to first aid and breast cancer prevention. These are some of the free courses and events that Flipness has achieved, relying on professionals from every sector.
“Sport has always had a place of importance in our lives and we are convinced that nowadays it remains perhaps the last educational frontier for children. Filippo played football at a competitive level, unfortunately a heart problem forced him to stop playing and subsequently also to stop living. We experienced a tragedy and from that day we set ourselves the goal of doing something in order to try to prevent this misfortune from happening again. In 4 years of existence, the Flipness Association has donated 4 defibrillators to as many sports clubs with the hope that it will be the most useless object but with the hope that, in the unfortunate event it should be needed, it can help save a life. Thanks to the Pink Devils, the Staff, the Managers and Coaches for the educational and sporting work you do every day.”
