Farmitalia Saturnia is ready to return to Sicily, after two days spent training first with Valsa Group Modena and then with Vero Volley Monza.
Two tests, those carried out yesterday and today, with as many SuperLega teams, the same ones the white and blue will have to compete with starting from next October 22nd when the 2023/24 Credem Banca Championship begins.
The training sessions, and their results, gave the first answers to the questions regarding the level of preparation of the Etna team two weeks before the debut match at Sir Safety Perugia’s home ground (22 October), and three weeks before the first match to be played at PalaCatania against Top Volley Cisterna (29 October).
On Friday at the PalaPanini in Modena, Farmitalia Saturnia tried to keep the pace of Valsa Group, one of the strongest teams in the championship, and although in a crescendo it was unable to keep pace 4-0 (25-16, 25-21, 25-21, 30-28). A different story was written today in the Candy Arena in Monza on the pitch against Vero Volley, where the blue and whites played a more decisive and decisive game, managing to dictate the pace for several phases of the game to close with a 2-2 (27- 25, 19-25, 23-25, 25-21).
“If today we saw some improvements in our game, yesterday it was clear that there is still a lot to do to be ready for the start of the championship. – explains the president Luigi Pulvirenti, away with the team – From now until October 22nd the watchword will only be one: work.”
