Farmitalia Saturnia and Volley Valley sign an agreement thanks to which for the 2023/24 year the two sports realities will carry out a growth project for the Sicilian youth volleyball movement.
“The goal – explains the president Luigi Pulvirenti – is what we have been pursuing since the first moment we started this project: to bring as many young people as possible to approach volleyball. Today’s collaboration with Volley Valley is a natural evolution of friendships born thanks to this common passion for volleyball and I am sure that, thanks to these assumptions, we will be able to work together better in the coming months. We share the strategy with the managers of Volley Valley, but also the vision and values, because the goal is to make an even more important stage available to young people, which today is that of a team in the SuperLega”.
For over twenty years, Volley Valley has been one of the most consolidated realities of the entire Sicilian volleyball movement and has been a springboard for many young talents. Now we look to the next season, as the President Marco Emanuele Cutore explains: “We are happy and proud of the agreement reached with the friends of Saturnia, whom we thank for what has been started. The collaborative relationship that we are going to develop will concern, in full and just respect for the operational scope of each of the companies, a unitary and shared management of the youth sector, starting from the CAS, then moving on to the youth championships, up to the regional series championships and provincial. We will try, with humility and enthusiasm, to give our contribution to the success of the coming year.”
To her thought is added that of the General Manager Francesco Carpinato, who also covers the role of head of the women’s sector: “We are all children of the golden years of Paoletti and Alidea, when in Catania the championships were won thanks also to the support of the entire volleyball movement. Today, twenty-six years after the last presence of a Catania team in Serie A, the conditions are in place for the dream to come true again. And our agreement should also be read from this point of view, with a partnership which will also see the participation of the women’s sector with which this year we will face various regional and provincial championships and the national B2 championship. I thank Saturnia for strongly believing in our business and for making us part of this fantastic undertaking.”
