On Friday 10 February, the Top Volley coach Cisterna gave a lesson to the postgraduates in Sports Physiotherapy of the Campus Biomedico University of Rome on gender differences in the management and training of a male and female national team. Coach Soli’s intervention, which lasted an hour, was very successful and was included in the teaching program of the 1st level University Master’s degree in sports physiotherapy on the Campus in the module “physiotherapy management in women’s sports”, of which Elio Paolini is responsible and teacher, coordinator of the physiotherapists of the first team of Top Volley.
Elio Paolini (professor at Campus Biomedico University – Top Volley Cisterna physiotherapist): “We have been working together for two years now, and in addition to being our coach, he has also become a friend. His experience as coach of a men’s team and, in the past, of the Italian women’s volleyball team with which he participated in the Rio Olympic Games, could only be perfect for what I wanted him to convey to the students. I thank him so much for his availability and the contribution he has given to the University, especially in a delicate period of the season. His intervention was appreciated by all, both by students and other teachers, and he received many certificates of esteem. In a context of post-graduate specialization, I think it is important that in addition to notional concepts, it is essential that young people should enrich themselves with the concrete experiences of other professionals who put sport at the center of their lives and Fabio is a prime example of this.”
Fabio Soli (Top Volley Cisterna): “What was proposed to me is part of the appointments I always try not to miss and I always respond with great enthusiasm and participation, because I believe they are moments characterized by sharing and for me individually they represent a of synthesis where for the need to prepare the intervention I put my ideas in place and it is always very useful. An enriching sharing because it puts you in contact with an audience of young people and people with whom you share a thought and an idea between important information and therefore how to communicate the idea and about the contents themselves. A comparison that contributes to my personal growth, when I have the opportunity I always try to respond to these invitations because I take home, wrapped up, so much more than I can give. I thank those who gave me the opportunity to compare myself with kids who live the world of sport like us “.
