The activity of the youth sector of Emma Villas Volley has restarted. Ten white and blue teams will be involved in the next championship and around a hundred kids will be part of it.
The manager of the youth sector of Emma Villas Siena will still be Luigi Banella, who has worked in the white and blue club for years. “The objective we set ourselves – these are his words – is to make our groups and our kids grow. We see quality, we must and want to work on that. If some victories arrive at the territorial championships, so be it. Unfortunately, we continue to work having to face the problem of the few systems available, but we give our best with the aim of achieving the best possible results. We will have around a hundred kids on our teams this year too, there aren’t many youth sectors with these numbers at a national level. This means that we have done something good in all these years of work.”
The technical director of the youth sector of the Sienese club will be Gianluca Graziosi. The coach of the first team playing in the Serie A2 championship will therefore have a double role and task, he who throughout his career as a coach has always shown great attention towards the boys and youth sectors of the various clubs in which he has worked. In this role and task he will be assisted by Marco Monaci, assistant coach of the Sienese first team: he too will therefore have a double role and task with the aim of developing the potential of the young white and blue boys to the maximum.
Emma Villas Siena will take part with its youth teams in the Serie C championship, in the First Division championship, in the Under 19 championship. And then again in the Under 17, Under 15 and Under 14 teams, it will have two teams for the Under 13 3×3 championship, to the Under 12, and finally will participate in the S3 championship with Under 12 and Under 13 boys.
