Emma Villas Volleyball and solidarity is a combination that works very well. The white and blue volleyball club is the protagonist in two different initiatives in the field of charity. One concerns the aid and support to the populations of Emilia Romagna, affected by the flood; the other instead brings funds to the ATT, the Tuscan Cancer Association.

Gabriele Iebba is the events manager of Play for life. A very active association in the field of solidarity. For Emilia Romagna Play for life has created a series of initiatives with the aim of raising funds to carry out charitable actions. Emma Villas Volley wanted to give its contribution in this sense. “We have thought of two different initiatives to raise funds for Emilia Romagna – explains Iebba. – They are both connected with the world of sport. The first, with which we intend to make a contribution to the reconstruction of part of a kindergarten, has already started and has involved the former footballer Emanuele Giaccarini. The second initiative will start in July and will involve various volleyball, cycling and other disciplines. On the Instagram profile of our association we will carry out online auctions through which we will sell the t-shirts of sports champions. We can only thank Emma Villas for her closeness to our initiative, the Sienese company has in fact given us two game shirts from last season that we will be auctioning off with a charitable intent”.

“We are very happy with the following and the support we have found in Emma Villas and in various sports realities – says Iebba. – It is definitely important when the world of sport thinks of events to lend a hand to those experiencing difficulties. We had already carried out charitable initiatives with Emma Villas in the past, I am thinking, for example, of World Champions and friends”.

The Sienese company donated some game shirts, sweatshirts and shorts also for an initiative of the Cral Mps. In this case the solidarity is addressed to the Att, the Tuscan Cancer Association. In fact, the tenth edition of the Montepaschi Sport Meeting was held in Badesi, in the province of Sassari in Sardinia. A moment of meeting for bank employees and their families, this edition was attended by 280 people. The meeting lasts a week, during which the participants also compete in tournaments of different realities and sports practices, seventeen: among these, beach volleyball, table tennis, swimming, canoeing, archery.
