The roster of Emma Villas Volley Siena is therefore being composed, piece by piece, in view of the next sports season that the white and blue club will play in Serie A2. The volleyball market is now in full swing, the Tuscan club has filled in the two boxes relating to the team’s foreigners and is now continuing with the work relating to the composition of the roster.
The Sienese have already placed important shots, placing the Frenchman Thomas Nevot on the dribble, the Brazilian Matheus Krauchuk in the opposite role and now Riccardo Copelli in the center. The company is active in order to quickly arrive at further market announcements.
“We want to build a roster with interesting guys – comments the coach of Emma Villas Volley Siena, Gianluca Graziosi. – We have an important diagonal, with good profiles. Nevot won a lot in France and took part in the Mediterranean Games with his national team. Krauchuk has already traveled the world and this summer he will wear the shirt of his country’s national team at the Universiade. Copelli is an important player, who I know, and he has many motivations”. The Italian centre-back has already been trained by coach Gianluca Graziosi in the last competitive season in Bergamo.
“We want to do things right – says coach Graziosi again. – I have constant and daily contacts with the vice president Fabio Mechini to go and set up the roster and for all situations concerning the team and staff. I don’t think there will be a championship-killing team in the next tournament, but rather good formations that will have the ambition to achieve good results: I am thinking of Cuneo, Grottazzolina, Brescia. It will be a level tournament, but still upwards because many A2 companies are setting up quality rosters. There will be a fight.”
And again the coach of Emma Villas Volley Siena: “This – are his statements – is a square in which I had already had the opportunity to work well. I accepted the challenge as soon as I was called back by the club. Here for many years there has been the right ambition, professionalism and desire to do well. We feel the stimulus to go and recreate enthusiasm and motivation. The Sienese company has made great strides over the past ten years. Think also of the work carried out in the youth sector, an area in which I have been interested many times in the past and to which I always devote great attention. We want to carry on that work also with an overall multi-year project, through which we hope to be able to bring Siena back to the top of Italian volleyball within a few sporting seasons”.
