The Volley Team Club signing campaign continues on the green line to define the roster for the 2023/24 season. The new spiker under coach Moretti’s orders is in fact Edoardo Cunial, born in 2004, 198cm tall.
“I had already seen Edoardo two seasons ago when he played in Treviso’s youth academy – comments Sports Director Eugenio Tassan – this year he found little space in Motta in A2 and therefore I believe that our reality can give him more chances to put into practice what he learned from his more experienced peers”.
“I decided to choose the Volley Team Club project – explains Edoardo – because I think the staff and the boys can contribute a lot this year to making a good championship. I imagine a nice united group, with a lot of grit and the desire to demonstrate on the field how much we care about this sport. I already know some teammates, like Gioele Favaro, also a former Volley Treviso player. I think this team can give a lot this year, both on and off the pitch.
Despite his young age, Edoardo already has a good career behind him. “I started the youth team in Treviso when I was 12/13. In Under 14 they called me to play the Boy League for Trentino Volley finishing with a second place while in the 2018/2019 vintage playing with Veneto in the regional trophy we finished in second place. In 2021 with Treviso Volley we finished second in the national finals and the following year third. Last year I ended the season in Serie A2 with Motta”.
