Domenico Intini, from Castellana Grotte, joined the Gioiella Prisma team as the official speaker of the PalaMazzola last spring, when the specter of Covid was still hovering in the arenas and a gradual return of the public was timidly beginning to be seen.
Born as a referee in Castellana Grotte with the Bcc and later speaker of Materdomini, he has always followed volleyball and remained close to this sport by commenting, presenting and supporting the team from his microphones.
After collaborating for over a decade with the volleyball clubs of Castellana Grotte, the town where he lives, last summer he was ready to “retire” and enjoy volleyball matches sitting comfortably and relaxed in the stands, when the club contacted to understand his willingness to assume the role of speaker of Gioiella Prisma Taranto.

Tonio Bongiovanni! So I retraced my steps and accepted the proposal with great satisfaction and enthusiasm and I don’t hide it even with a pinch of pride.
