Hristiyan Dimitrov is a new player for Smartsystem Fano.
The opposite of Bulgarian nationality, born in 1999, 198 cm tall, will crush for the Virtussini colors taking the place of the Slovakian Peter Michalovic.
Dimitrov, who comes from Hebar Pazardzhik (Bul), a team that played in the Champions League and where he had Baranowicz, Massari and Sabbi as teammates and Alberto Giuliani as coach, was part of the national under 19 and 20 team in the past, as well to have already toured half of Europe (Hungary, Belgium, Iceland and Germany).
Fans from Fano remember him because last year he played for Parma, arriving during the current season and reviving the fortunes of the Emilians. The Bulgarian made himself known with the sound of dunks, closing the season with an average of almost 20 points per game and even reaching the “trentello” on some occasions.
These are his first words in the Virtussina jersey: “I am very excited to come to play in Fano and to have this new experience. I hope to adapt as soon as possible, I will try to do the best possible to achieve the objectives set by the Company. I can’t wait to get on the field.”
Dimitrov will take the field on Sunday 17 December when Smartsystem will face Marcianise at home.
