Second day of competitions for the Del Monte®Finale Junior League. In the field, key results have been achieved for the economy of the two groups. The closing of the group stage is scheduled for tomorrow morning, Saturday 3 June. Following, in the afternoon, the finals for 9th and 7th place, but also the Semifinals. The challenges for 5th and 3rd place will be scheduled for Sunday 4 June. The Final will be played at 16.00.
In Group A Gamma Chimica Brugherio and Pallavolo Padova lead the standings by 9 points, thanks to their respective 3-0 successes today against Sir Safety Susa Perugia and by virtue of the Diavoli’s victory in three sets at 19.00 against Emma Villas Siena . The Brianza team and the Veneto collective have already qualified hand in hand for the Semifinals awaiting the direct match for first place in the group, scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday 3 June (11.00 am), at the PalaPrincipi in Potenza Picena. The Tuscan sextet, also beaten in the morning by Valsa Group Modena with the maximum gap, closes the group without points and will face the Final for 9th place, scheduled for tomorrow at 17.00 at the PalaPrincipi with Verona. Paired on 3 points, the giants from Perugia and Modena will face each other at 9.00 tomorrow, again at the PalaPrincipi, for third place in the Pool. The winner will be back on the field on Sunday at 11.00 to fight for fifth place on the Eurosuole Forum field, while the loser will go under the net already tomorrow, at 17.00, in the hunt for 7th place on the main field.
The B Group has no bosses yet. Vero Volley Monza, Cucine Lube Civitanova and Itas Trentino populate the first place in cohabitation with 7 points, but the only team still undefeated is the one from Brianza, which today at the PalaPrincipi beat both the yellow-blues and the red-and-whites in the tie break in the only match of hosts day. The Dolomites, on the other hand, made up for it in the evening with the lightning success against WithU Verona, previously also fallen with Top Volley Cisterna in four sets and stopped with zero points in last position. For the Scala family there is only one possible perspective, to play for 9th place with Siena.
