A.S. Volley Lube announces that the libero Francesco D’Amico will not be part of the red and white roster in the 2023/24 season. The young talent from Ostuni, who returned to Lube last season after the already fruitful experience of a few years ago in the second team and youth teams, is preparing for a new adventure. The will expressed by “Ciccio” to increase playing time to exploit his talent and grow as much as possible prompted the club to make a choice, but as D’Amico says “it’s goodbye”.

“I am honored to have had an intense season with Lube. Having important opportunities to take the field in such a prestigious club and play in the Scudetto Finale matches gave me so many reasons, I thank everyone. Having said that, now it’s important for me to play as a starter, not just to have good space. This pushes me towards new experiences, but first clarifying that the red and white route was fantastic and I would do it again a thousand times, indeed mine is a goodbye. It doesn’t just depend on me, but the intention is to come back and reappear with an even greater wealth of experience if the club wants. Thinking about my maturation on the pitch is now the priority, but on the human side I am sad to leave Lube and fans as passionate as the Predators, with whom I have a special relationship”.
