CUS Cagliari returned to Sardinia with three important points for its ranking. After the home defeat against San Donà, the rossoblù won away in the match valid for the ninth day of Serie A3, beating PalaSavena with a nice 1-3 comeback.
A match actually played on equal terms, as demonstrated by the scores of 28-26, 21-25, 21-25, 18-25, which brings Coach Ammendola’s boys to fifth place in the standings with 14 points.
Against Geetit Bologna we saw the return to the field of the Polish Busch, who after the week of precautionary stoppage due to a shoulder problem, restored strength and points to his sextet, who however continued to pull the plug in long sets, losing the fourth in a row to the advantages and nullifying two set points.
But not all evils have a silver lining. The second set demonstrated that CUS Cagliari is able to turn the page and look forward: the strong reaction expressed on the pitch testifies to the desire to leave mistakes behind and overcome the difficult moments that the match brings with it. A well-prepared challenge which, as stated by Ammendola, the sextet performed well especially in service.
In the next midweek round, CUS will be away again: for the tenth matchday of Serie A3 Credem Banca will play against Gamma Chimica Brugherio and its young Diavoli Rosa.
